Question: Who is your greatest inspiration?

My grandpa is my greatest inspiration.

Tease:

He was never the loudest guy in the room.

Rarely talked about himself, and when he did, it was only to share a story from earlier in life that had a lesson buried in it.

The best way to describe him would be a captain at sea, always looking forward, unfazed by whatever chaos was happening outside the boat.

His demeanor from the day I met him till the day I said goodbye was calm and grounded.

I used to be terrified by it.

Like how can someone always be so damn chill?

Now though, as I get older and start to have “real” problems.

I’m realizing more and more how special his calm really was.

His ability to just stay the course and trust that everything was gonna work out.
