Question: What/When was your last great convo?

Below is a rough example of what a post could look like for this prompt. Feel free to edit it to reflect your own experience.

Hook:

I’m 21.

So, in some ways, I’m old, like to my 8- and 10-year-old cousins, for instance.

But in the world of business and entrepreneurship, I’m a pup.

And with that pup status comes a shit ton of doubt.

Tease:

I was talking with a friend of mine on Saturday and we got on the topic of future plans.

He wants to go to law school and has his eyes set on USC.

Great school, close to his family and friends, and the Trojan network is incredible for finding a good job.

I told him that’s freaking amazing and that I really think he has a great shot

While we were talking, he mentioned how he keeps seeing people post about impostor syndrome on LinkedIn.

I told him that in all honesty, it’s something I’ve actually been dealing with constantly.

He told me he’s been feeling the same way.

Value:

He never really cared about school in elementary or high school, so part of him still feels like he doesn’t fit in.

But then he said something that stuck with me.

“When I start worrying about what I think other people might think, I remind myself that I will have earned my way into law school and everything that comes after.

I’m the one putting in the hours. I’m the one pushing through the doubt. No one sees that part, so they don’t get to take my accomplishment away from me.”

What hit me the most was how he phrased it.

“What I think they think.”

Cause that’s the thing about doubt. Most of the time, it’s just us projecting our own fears onto everyone else.
