Question: What’s a moment that reminded you just how far you’ve come?

I swear I’m not doing it on purpose but every freaking week I land on a new wild story to tell y’all.

Back in 2022, I was trying to build my first company.

It was supposed to be an edtech startup teaching financial literacy to middle-income Americans and college students.

I never quite nailed the demo because, well,I had no clue what I was doing.

But I knew I wanted to help people get smarter with their money.

So I did what any scrappy first-time founder would do.

I hit LinkedIn and X, cold-messaging HUNDREDS of engineers, trying to find someone to help me build an MVP.

Fast forward to this week.

I reach out to someone who’s now building a really cool company of their own.
We’re vibing, chatting, setting up a call.

Then I scroll up.

I see a message from me, two years ago.

Asking if they wanted to be my technical cofounder for that first startup.

WOW.

Talk about a full-circle moment.
