Your daily LinkedIn post idea, by The Content Lab
Question: How to build a brand voice?
Below is a rough example of what a post could look like for this prompt. Feel free to edit it to reflect your own experience.
Post Template:
Hook:
“Consistent” brand voice is a crutch for lazy marketers.
Tease:
It sounds good in theory to use the same tone, similar phrasing, have the same polished persona across every touchpoint. But your customers don’t show up the same way every day and everywhere.
So why does your brand?
Value:
A great brand voice adapts to context without losing its core. Here’s what that looks like in the wild:
In your onboarding flow:
Be clear, welcoming, fluff-less. They’re busy, they want to succeed.
In your product launch:
Get loud, rally energy. Make people feel the urgency.
In your retention emails:
Talk like a friend who noticed they haven’t been around.
In your help docs:
Be human, calm, and direct. They're frustrated, don’t add to it.
On socials:
Loosen up, flex… Have a POV.
CTA:
Have fun and play around with different styles and moods. We’ve been focusing too much on consistency and losing nuance in branding. Your brand is a living, evolving voice.
Let it breathe.
