Your daily LinkedIn post idea, by The Content Lab

Question: Who was your first hire?

Below is a rough example of what a post could look like for this prompt. Feel free to edit it to reflect your own experience.

Post Template:

Hook:

I still can’t decide if I hate or love hiring. Usually, I lean toward the hate side because I’m very, very particular about the people we consider for a role.

Tease:

And with that standard comes a lot of rejections, a lot of “sorry, we’re just not a fit,” and a lot of digging for the gold I know is out there.

My bar has also definitely only been made worse because Shreya was my first hire.

Value:

The girl is first and foremost an incredible wordsmith who spins up our clients' stories like she’s been inside their heads for years. The most critical difference between her and other candidates, though, and something she still maintains today, is her need to improve.

She’s obsessed with bettering herself in every part of the job, whether it’s editing, tonality, or customer support. She’ll send me messages prior to sending to a client chat just to make sure she doesn’t sound rude. Up at all hours of the day and night for edits and client needs.

She even keeps bugging me to learn how to do cold outreach because she wants to bring in even more clients. I warned her it’s like getting slapped in the face repeatedly on a daily basis but she doesn’t care. Just keeps moving forward.

CTA:

So, thank you, Shreya, for setting the bar early and showing me exactly what the right hire can bring to the table.

“Consistent” brand voice is a crutch for lazy marketers.
