Hook:
Last week, we decided to do something really uncharacteristic:
Boost a post.
Tease:
For context, through our work at Notice Me(dia) and Orca we’ve partnered with 100+ B2B executives, helping build out their brands, here on LinkedIn.
Yet, we’ve NEVER spent a dollar on paid ads.
Until last week …
We’ve been working with a client of ours for over five months, helping him on his path to YC, hiring, and raising his seed round. It’s been an incredible journey for us, and he was kind enough to let us promote our partnership.
This “experiment” spanned over 6 days, and ~$450 ($75/day).
Here are our observations and results:
Value:
(1) 102,500 impressions - a record number. Interestingly, more than half of these impressions came directly from the post prior to boosting.
(2) 133 likes, 10 comments, 5 reposts - most of which came during the initial 10 hours, before we gave the post some juice ($).
(3) 26 inbound leads for both Orca and Notice Me(dia) - again, most of the recognition came directly from our network - people reaching out saying that they’ve been following Ajith (the founder) for months (sometimes years). Nonetheless, a sweet boost in inbounds.
(4) 7 closed deals - nearly 30% of leads which came from this ad closed within 48 hours. Extremely warm numbers.
(5) With this, we will probably go ahead with boosting one post per month, following this exact playbook. This experiment has been incredibly eye-opening.
